Who is linking to me.

Alright here's my deal. I've been doing a lot of link building over the past year. My problem is that I know there must be sites that I've linked to that are not linking back. What I want to do is go through my link pages and find every site that I have a link to and see if they have a link anywhere on their site linking back. I want to be able to type in the url of a site and see if there is a link to my site anywhere on that site linking back. If anone knows of a tool that can do this please let me know. Thank you all.:)

Recently I got a SEO project having a lot of back link..

I email to every site, those are listed in my site asking them reciprocate URL and given time period of 10 days.

Logic behind of this strategy was that only live site will give response and those are dead will never response.

Those site who respond, I maintain their list rests I simply delete.

I strongly belive that outbound links r simply junk for any site, and it should only be used when it strongly necessary.

    BEST OF LUCK :)

Thank you both. I actually have that link in my bookmarks, but it doesn't do exactly what I want. I'm trying to save some work by being able to type a websites URL in the bar and finding out if there is a link on any of there pages linking back to mine. So I guess I would need to type there link in and type my link in to find a reciprocal link. There must be some tool like this out there. If there isn't, someone will have fun making it.:D

P.S. that back link checker shows that there only like 20 something backlinks to me and I know I have many more. Link popularity check show's over a thousand. I've also manually check some of my backlinks with high PR's that are linking to me and have been for some time and that back link checker doesn't show them.

If the site is in Technorati you might be able to use the tools featured there to get the information you need. Might be a little difficult if the site is not blog related though. The new Explore site that is in development looks promising.

    www.linkmachine.net

I highly suggest this software! It can add links, exchange links with visitors, use your own website template, checks them daily and takes their link off if they aren't linking to you!! It is pretty nice.

Thank all of you for you advice so far. I appreciate it very much. :) None of these links really do what I'm looking for (I have all of those bookmarked and do use them regulary). Maybe it's not a tool I'm looking for. What I want to do is go through my recipricol link partners pages and go to there webpage and then find out if they are linking to me anywhere on that site. In my mind "how do I visit a website and see who that site has outgoing links to". Thank you guys for your help.

of course there are a lot of good backlink checking tools everywhere but if i'm getting it correctly, you need a tool that asks you to input a url A (the site that links TO you), another url B (your url) and it will check whether or not any of the url A's pages actually does have url B in it. is that right?

hmmm... maybe someone has something like this, but i haven't seen any. you'll never know someone might get or already have an idea how to do it and create a tool like that.

but then, doesn't backlink checking tools actually do that? say for example the yahoo site explorer. it asks for your url and then searches all the pages indexed in yahoo for the occurence of your url in it and then lists those that have them. then it's up to you to manually look for that url you're looking for in the results they have listed?

*shrugs* anyways, i could be wrong, i dunno if i'm actually helping, i'm just thinking outloud. hehe good luck texisman *thumbs up*

I have a tool that's checking your website for all the outbounds links that you have on your site, and then go's to these sites to check if they have a link to your site and then gives you the page where your link is located, the pr of that page anchor text and more.
Maybe this is what you're looking for? If you can give me your URL then I can let it run for you ;)

i totally disagree with this. I believe google would think it unnatural not to have any out going links.

If I'm not wrong, you are looking for a script that spider your partners site, and check if they still have the reciprocal link on it, isn't it?

You use this tool to check if the sites linkback to your site.
