Who is leading the pack - Squidoo, Hubpages, etc...

So I've been experimenting lately, and found that personally, Hubpages FAR outweighs Squidoo in Google. Another one that I found, Guidespot.com, is also very impressive.

My question - in your opinion, who carries the most weight? And are there any more similar sites that we should pay attention to?

As you know, taking advantage of these sites can definitely help any SEO campaign, so this might be good information to know.

    Thanks in advance!

in regards to ranking, i would not say hubpages or squidoo is better than one another. i found them both being just about the same so far. one good thing with squidoo is that the links are dofollow. hubpages can be dofollow as well but your individual hubscore needs to be 75 for the links to be followed which requires some occasional work. i say both the same but hubpages requiring occasional maintenance to keep your hubscore high to keep the links followed

sultan - VERY interesting. I had no idea that hubpages could have followed links if your score was high enough. I just checked mine, and I'm close!

Anyway, thanks for the information, was very helpful!

I have found that hubpages has more weight with Google as far as getting your hub ranked on Google. Squidoo is easier to setup and allows for more links which are all do-follow. So it would probably be best to use both, as long as you have the time to maintain a high hubscore on hubpages to keep your links do-follow.

squidoo is vey good for link building as its links are do follow whilst it takes some time to build up your hub score

i do find that i get more traffic from hubpages though

I will put squidoo > hubpages.

Hubpages require 3 times more effort to put the content and to get a dofollow link. You can build 3 quality squidoo lenses in that time. Also hubpages are ugly and they have put too much adsense.

My preferences for hub pages. They are getting indexed by Google super fast, and from my experience, 90% of my hubs are on first page on Google within 24 hours.

Traffic-wise, by about a 6-1 margin, I'm getting more traffic from Squidoo than from Hubpages.

The guys behind hubpages are making a fortune off of webmasters creating content for them.
