    Advertising (learn more)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

Starts at just $1 per CPM or $0.10 per CPC.

I set up many new ads last night hoping to see them working when I woke up. Well, I now see that many of them are denied because of this

I'm sorry, but if you ignore what an intersitial is, then I don't know what you are doing here. Go to Interclick.com and take a look at what they offer. There is absolutely no restriciton in the guidelines found here http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/ad-network/guidelines.html about the kind of advertising I can do on my site and you have wasted my time since I now had to create my ads all over again. I hope they get aproved now.

    Thanks

He didn't ask a real question and I'm no Co-op mod... So that was all...

I'm a bit surprised they didn't get approved myself but no reason to call the reviewer a time-waster and what not IMO.

Offensive attitude? Please... I am sure pissed off because I find it ridiculous to get my ads denied for these reasons. Now I get another one: "it crashed my browser"

WTF is the problem? How can an ad crash your browser?

Tops, If you can't help out why don't you move on? Your post is absurd since I wasn't offensive at all.

hehe - Fryman...being offensive...? COME ON!! I don't BELIEVE IT!!!???

 heh - Fryman you aren't known for masking your frustrations, or taking it easy on people. I'd be ticked too, but maybe you should take the high road, and ask what the problem is in a bit more...er...sociable manner. Even if only to placate the co-op mod

That's true... it's not like fryman not to suck up to the brass.. he usually just cracks on newbies...

Here's a suggestion, fryman: why not remove those "pages with popups or flyins"? Or remove the popups and flyins from the pages. Problem solved.

As for crashing a browser, depending on how the "flyins and popups" are done, that can indeed happen.

ALthough I still don't think I was offensive at all, if you think I was, I apologize.

Minstrel, I can't remove the popups, that is my only source of income from the site :D They are provided by an advertising company called interclick, and capped to one per unique per 6 hours, meaning that as a visitor you will get one, and then you are free to go around all the site without any more interruptions, so I don't think they should cause my ads to be denied in the coop, they are not active x popups or anything like that, just a simple slider and a popunder.

And I find it hardo to believe that one of these ads would cause a browser to crash, I would of received many emails from angry visitors complaining about this if it really happened, so all I ask is for the editors to give me a break and not be so harsh when evaluating the sites.

Thanks, and sorry again if I offended anyone

So you think they would go back to your site just to complain about the pop-up? I doubt it. IMO- They're more likely to never visit your site again.

You don't know my visitors and you don't even know my site, why are you giving out opinions like this?

I am using this advertising network on 3 sites. One of them gets over 8,000 daily uniques. Thousands of them are loyal members of the site and I have frecuent chats with many of them.

I'd add that a lot of people these days have pop-up blockers with their firewalls or browser toolbars... those people will never even see the ads, so if that's the only source of income you might want to rethink the site strategy... those that DO see the popups, even one, are probably going to be too pissed off to buy anything from you...

    I didn't see this before I replied:

Then why do you care whether or not the Coop ads were approved if you're doing that well? Thousands of loyal visitors who don't detest popups and popunders? Kepp 'em happy, fryman... lose those ones and you may never see any others like them.

I'm hard pressed to think of a single person I know who doesn't hate them with a passion...

Oh, believe me, I have tried EVERYTHING under the sun. The problem is that my site is teen-oriented. Visited by young fellows with a few bucks in their pockets and no credit card. Very tough market. And since I am using almost 5 gigs of bandwidth a day, I sure need a way to pay the bills.

I have noticed that young fellows couldn't care less about showing a popup to them. They don't mind at all. I agree that for some people they might be a niusance, but for my audience they are perfect. Heck, they even love those flashy banners that we all hate! :)

And of course I want to keep using the coop for this site, it is a wonderful way of advertising and couldn't be happier with it, that is why I was so frustrated to see my ads denied.
