I wanted to know before i order up from any of these sites who i sa better web hosting provider? They both have similar prices , they both let you upload many script sin different formats. I was wondering from any your good or bad experiences in the past who would you recommend based on its up time, compatibility with scripts, customer support, payment type and so on.

Its between Lunarpages web hosting VS Bluehost services.

    http://www.bluehost.com/

    All help appreciated

I was with lunar pages for a very short bit and their e-mail system was going down constantly over the course of a week. I switched to hostmysite and never looked back.

I haven't had any problems lately with Lunarpages. There were problems early on with the site loading due to their processing of http/https, which was quite annoying.

Otherwise, I'd say they're very good.

I use BlueHost for one of my sites for the past 10 months - their tech service is on the ball - had to contact them about scripts I had to install initially and they were brilliant.
I don't us their email facilities so I would not know about that.

I've used LunarPages for over 4 years now. They are an excellent service for me, but your needs may be different. I started out with them as a web publishing novice, but they had plenty of tutorials that made setting everything up very easy. Their uptime has been good enough so that I've never noticed them go down, their customer service was good the couple of times I used it, and I've never run into a compatibility problem.

I've only had experience with BlueHost so far between the two companies you are asking about but I did take LunarPages into consideration when I was selecting a new hosting company. So far BlueHost has customer support have been at the very least a 9/10. As far as everything else goes, such as uptime, CPU usage, and other technical issues, I've had the site crash on me maybe 6-7 times within the last few months. It was mostly due to BlueHost updating their servers among other internal issues so that didn't make me very happy. A few other incidents occurred when they claim that my site had exceeded its CPU usage which was fairly odd considering my site takes very minimal to run. My websites hosted with BlueHost are fairly new so there isn't enough traffic to exceed the bandwidth usage yet. I would say that if you need basic web hosting, BlueHost does the trick but if you want something more stable and reliable, try other webhosts. Overall my satisfaction with BlueHost still stands at a 8/10. They have manage to bring the servers up really fast during the times it was down.

I second LiquidWeb, and I would also remind: never take 12 month plan in the beginning. If you go cheap, try them for 2-3 months before making the final decision.

And... I'd really consider spending couple of more bucks for the hosting - it's pain in the bottocs to deal with cheap oversold hosting (which the cheapest hosts most likely are - at some point)
