Hi Guys, I just want to ask this stupid question about affiliate program? Just imagine this situation: Mr. A and Mr. B joined an affiliate program offered by Company ABC. Company ABC affiliate program have a lifetime cookies. Mr. C visits Mr. A's website and take a peek at the Company ABC's affiliate program. 10 days later Mr. C visits Mr. B's website and also take a peek at the Company ABC's affiliate program that Mr B have joined. 30 days later Mr. C decided to buy the product from Company ABC without using both Mr. A's and Mr. B's affiliate link. The question is: Who will get the commissions? Mr. A or Mr. B Thanks guys for helping me out. Nizzura
To know the definite answer to this question we'd need to see Company ABC's scripts, but my assumption would be that Mr. B. gets the commission.
it depends how their cookie tracking is setup ... some programs I know, the first cookie gets the sale... so in your case Mr. A's cookie will still be on their computer when they purchase. But Ive also seen, where the latest cookie overwrites the previous one, so in this case Mr B would get the sale.
