I'm just curious, as I know it is possible and many people do it everyday, but who here doesn't have a job and makes enough money from their website(s) that they don't need to have a job and can still live comfortably?
Ohhhh, you mean who doesn't have a real job? Not sure how many times I have been asked by friends and relatives how it was to not have a real job and just sit on my ass doing what I want. They just don't get it that many, many of us that make a living at this are more trapped at work than they are. You cannot go home and get away from work. Even if you try you find yourself back at your computer checking your email "one last time". This shit is either in your blood or it isn't. My friends do not see the years on end of long nights of constantly trying to better your online business. Fighting crackers and fraud attempts. Servers, clustering, routing, corrupt data, downtime, and on and on. Most would run scared if they knew the work involved once you really get busy. When we started Gambling.com it was slow at first, and then almost overnight it hit the major road and became an overnight success. That played hell on the 4 of us involved. I remember 100 hour weeks with no relief in site. Meeting with ColdFusion Engineers and having them scratch their head as to what the current server problem was. And then having the Micorsoft engineers do the same thing. ALL While you are paying many thousands of dollars per day to them. Only to end up fixing the problem yourself after 72 hours of looking over logs. Of course these friends do not know, and never will know the thrill of that first sale or seeing your site hit top in Google for one of your major keywords. Watching as your daily hit count went over 10,000 for the first time ever. Most will never have a chance of hitting a golden domain like youtube. Most will never take a chance. The die hards are a unique breed apart from the real world. There is nothing quite like it and I could never go back to a "real job".
At least i earn much to hold up my own expenses I'm still student Hope one day i will be making my living from internet
