a degree or college doesnt mean your going to make money either - ive seen people who have went to college and never have used it in their lives. I have seen people go to college, and you know what get that job and 5-10 years later the company shuts down and your screwed. You can get an education without college - its how you perform and use your knowledge. Its about balls and the strategies and methods you use - ruthlessness...
How long are you at the starting salary? I'll give you an example, I'm experienced in one industry where the difference between the average person just starting out of college and the average person with just 2-3 years experience is $15-20k annually. Five years out and up it gets much higher--plus all the other opportunities. Of course, you can make 6 figures here in Vegas (or close to it) by just parking cars. Valet guys get $200-$300 a day in tips in many places. No it doesn't. I made 6 figures before I went to college. However, those with a solid college education (not crap like Anthropology), have a much better foundation to stand on. And if you go to graduate school it's all the better. $100k is the starting gate, not the finish line. Nothing in life is guaranteed, not even your own business.
100K is nothing. based on what i've learned, and how easily I've made money. 100K can be easily achieved, and i'm convinced that 100K online is nothing. Especially since I heard about a guy who made 600,000$ in 6 days. And I'm sure he's not the only person who has pulled a lucrative amount of cash in such a short time. What makes him better than me? [besides experience of course] What i'm saying is, he had to begin somewhere just like everybody else. Nothing in life is guaranteed. but business is guaranteed if you have the knowledge of consistent success, and you know how to pull money out of thin air. Kind of like Donald Trump. Through months of research, trial & error, I'm convinced i can put myself on pace to make 100K$ within a month.
The world is full of very smart, talented people in business who make little and sometimes go belly up. Don't drink too much of the Kool-Aid that "make money" promoters sell. Ask most successful people what helps generate success and they won't say smarts or talent. They'll say persistence. And I know a guy who made $500,000 in one day, but what's that mean for you? Nothing.
yeah. I know exactly what you meant. Honestly? I didn't believe any of it when i first started internet marketing make 100K a year with a website on autopilot!!! i'm like...yeah right... when you do tons of research, you realize this isn't BS. many people go "omg internet marketing's a big scam! 500,000$ in one day? did he use forex?
Yeah, I'm not saying it's BS. I've been at it for 14 years now. The spiel gets a bit "thick" at times and many people won't be able to make much anyway. It's that way with anything. And I know it's possible to make 6 figures without doing anything, because I've done it myself. Well, if you can partying in SoCal and going to sporting events in other states "doing something," then I guess never mind. There's a horde of people here and elsewhere who would be better off just going "all out" in a career.
I have made well over $100k/year in GROSS sales if that means anything Unfortunately not in profit yet though.
fellas, don't be babies. So mamy people are making 100k and get broke. In Silicon Valley every second engineer is making 100k and driving Pinto question should a little different - Ho much you can manage to save and place to work to be 100Million$$ worth??? - some day, some day
*always talking NET here* slwebtek, you're right. I know of many people who make 6 figures and I swear they will wake up one day and be in trouble. They spend spend spend. And I know people who are strapped for cash, yet they make $15k in a bad month. Living at or above your means kills you on any level. If you're making $9k per month, you should be putting $2k in an investment portfolio. Ideally more if you can swing it. I'm a big fan of putting 20% of earnings to work. Think about it. If you have just $100k in an investment portfolio and your capital grows by 15%, that's $15,000 without working for it. No matter what you make, put 20% of your earnings to work for you.
I make far more than that, but I work 18 hours a day and own more than one business. My secret: spend less money than you bring in.
You should check out Paula's List of Blogger Salaries .. there are more than a few of us from DP that are in the top 40 or better..
I do, but I do consulting, most of my leads come off my website, I get calls from Fortune 500 companies like RTD, Corporate Express, Qwest etc.. I also have some arrangements where a company pays me base + commission for all their SEO work and other marketing techniques such as auto-dialer management etc.. Does that count?
My business this year will well exceed 100,000. My goal is to make over that. My 1 year goal is to make enough per month, that when multiplied by 12 will equal 1 million. Meaning I want to be making 83,333 per month in 12 months. I dont understand where you got confused but oh well. Perhaps you read my goal as 100,000 instead of 1 million. Meh. Ah well
