I am looking to be in contact with people from China

my company is setting up business in China and I am looking for ways to meet people who are interested in starting a business in China

does anyone here know anyone from china or ways to meet people in china online

I would be very willing to start a trade or something for ways to contact these people

QQ is the biggest IM system in China, you can also try alibaba.com or other B2B site in China

I agree with random intellctions. Get yourself on a plane to Beijing or Shangai and meet some people to talk business. Go to a convention.

I think best to hire a local people there who can interact on your behalf and arrange 1 to 1 meetings with business owners that possibly you're targeting.

 

I'm also in China.

 

I use google's translation tools to convert Chinese websites into English for finding people.

Google.cn is great if you can translate the pages enough to see where all the people are at - Don't worry about speaking in English - they'll get it
