Does anyone here have a website that is currently on the first page of Google for a competitive keyword? If so, why do you think your site is on the 1st page? Also, I know many wont want to do this -- but for the ones that will ----- list your site & keywords that you rank for I have a site on the 1st page of Google.... and its because my site is the best in my local niche....... and has tons of content, right on page optimization title tags keywords etc., and most importantly: TONS of good backlinks............. Unfortunately I cant list the site because of my bastard competitors trying to spy on me!! Even though Im at the top of Google.... Im always learning something new almost daily@!!!!
My site ranks in top 10 in Google for 2 keywords.. It's on 5th position.. for a competition of 50,400,000 and 1,630,000 but it doesn't ranks well in Yahoo, Ask and Altavista..
I have two websites that come on 1st page of Google. One site comes at #3 for many keywords Its a banner designing site.
One of my websites is now #3 for it's main keyword. It took me 4 months of work and around 100 backlinks for this keyword from niche websites.
My ad firm is ranking #1 in most Beverly Hills searches. I personally think it's my page titles, linkbacks, high traffic, articles, etc. -AS
well my site is on google's first page @ 1st position for lot of keywords, one of them is "software company in faisalabad" and for "reliable software company in pakistan" i am at google's first page, but on 4th position. i am on google's first page because i have the best solutions to provide to my customers and i am the best offcourse among others in my area.... my site is best in web designing
I am number one position on google in a couple of quite competitive markets ... I did it with proper SEO.. shame I can't get my 4rse into gear to do it properly with the rest of my sites Proper SEO, taking the time to do that ... works.
I have some websites on first page. One of them for one of the most spanish searched terms. Link building and original and unique content is the key.
Well, it really depends on your definition of (competitive keywords)..! And it's not just a matter of the total number of results, some times it's about the sites that's ranking in the top which might be a very hard task to out rank any of them However, i have achieved top 3 ranking for most of the targeted keywords for my websites by adding related content and building backlinks using my targeted keywords.
one month old site on 1st page for major of its terms ans within 100 for its general terms and the niche is link building you can guess the competition
it all depends on the keyword, so for example personally I think I can get myself on any first page of google for a 4 letter keyword, or a 3 letter keyword which is not so competitive. But I recently had a client come to me asking to get on first page of google for the keyword 'debt consolidation' I told him that it would probably cost him thousands (if not millions!) of dollars to get there and I couldn't even promise him anything, later we agreed it would be better if he targeted several less competitive adverts which would probably get more targeted traffic and result in more sales, because I think that when someone is searching for a generic keyword such as debt consolidation he isn't looking to buy a service but rather he is just looking around but when someone searches for 'how much do debt consolidation companies charge?' probably this person is looking to get more specific information to make an informed decision on which product he should buy. I think one should keep this information at hand when creating an seo-campaign
One of my site get top 5 position in both Yahoo & Google for a keyword that have around 2mil competitors.
