I know there are places like HostGator were you can pick up pretty decent hosting packages for like < $10. But if this host had something that was really high in demand and no other host offered it, would you be willing to pay $15?

I appreciate all answers as this will be MEGA research into one of my ventures.

I am not selling the hosting through this thread (don't worry it isn't a spamming thread). What I am trying to say is, if this host offered something amazing which almost everyone wants but not many can afford, would you pay that little bit extra per month.

Sure! Before the overselling began, I was paying $39.95 for a 50 mb web space.

I can't afford it. $2 to $5 a month is more up my alley.

Most people with decent proxies/high traffic sites will need hosting that costs more... my rented dedicated server costs $200 a month, for example...

And yes, I'll pay it because it is definitely worth it :)

If you have a site that can earn back that amount and needs a server with those stats, then why not ?

I'd say yes until the site(s) is/are earning much or has lots of traffic.

Thanks for your feedback, but unfortunatly if I told you what I would be including with the hosting, it could spoil sales with my venture.

But if it can help with your decision imagine that the feature included costs over $100, there is no overselling, and you could make money with affiliate links (from your host provider).

Plus, you are free to do what you wish with your hosting as long as it is legal.

By the way guys, I do REALLY appreciate this.

PS: How much did Shawn spend on his new server? $300.000 or something?

I would say ya, if it were that great, i'd shell out for it...although I'm in the market for a dedicated, so 15 bucks is a bargain compared hehe.

WOW! I have had some very useful varied results here, my services I will be providing will not be very useful to top-end users, but this poll shows that there are many low-end users who would probably take advantage of my service once it is launched. Interesting.
