Who have this kind options?

    Hi,
    i registered one domain today at 1and1. but not able to make a wildcard subdomain.
    it have private whois free, that is a good offer. but with wildcard subdomain, i am not able to work. do you anyone know any register who give wildcard option plus free private whois and also have cheap rate. :p ;);)

    True wildcard subdomains aren't a TLD feature. Any TLD pointed toward a server will act as a wildcard. Making the wildcard work is a server issue. And it's an interesting trick that takes a bit of savvy to make work.

    wilcard domain ? Yiu have to able setting up nameserver and webserver to allow that

    As told before, your hosting service should give you the ability to setup the wildcard feature. This has nothing to do with the registrar unless you are hosted at 1&1 in which case you need to contact support to see if this setting is possible.

    I must say Servage and Netfirms are among the hosting providers offering wildcard domain without needing special setup, this is, the wildcard feature works as soon as you are hosted.
