At 4 GB of RAM or more... XP is outdated. I mean, Vista works better on 4 GB or more, than XP, due memory management, which is better in Vista. Same happends with 2/4 cores. In XP, you won't "feel" that you have those cores. But in Vista you will
Well Vista came out with their new Service Pack couple of days back. Increased security, stability, and whatnot. I still would stay with XP. Heard XP will have a new service pack that will increase performance and more! Can't wait for it. The new sp is meant to make xp work with cores.
I have Win Vista Ultimate from 15 feb 2007 Its working fine for me. It better then XP and more secure. I am wonder why people don't like this.
Works great for me, especially since service pack 1. You have to have a semi-beasty computer to run it well though, and AT LEAST 2 gigs of RAM no matter what you are using it for. Admittedly though, the only reason I run it on my desktop is for gaming. My notebook has good ol' Ubuntu on it, which I would recommend above every other OS.
vista picked up my printer, scanner, 2 digital cameras, external hard drive , usb drives, and cell phone. Good to go
you must make your own opinion, don't take for real what people say. people are negativists by default
