I was wondering (with all the things that I hear) if Vista still works well even with the fact that there are plenty of bugs remaining?
i used to but theres too much bullshit in it. It came with my laptop i immediately installed xp after 1 day of using it
i have it and it works fine to be honest i dont notice alot of difference between vista and the original windows 95
Works extremely well! All you need is a good graphic card. I have a Core2Duo E4400 (2.0 GHz) 2 GB DDR2 RAM (had 1 GB DDR RAM and worked fine then too) 256 MB nVidia GeForce FX5200 Graphic Card (old one, I know) Also, try to have SATA2 drives. IDE ones dont go well together with Vista cause they are really slow and Vista does a lot of I/O operations.
no, this past 2 days i have experiencing a lot of explorer crashes, and this is on a brand new format
I'm on Vista Business 64 bits and is working pretty well, I do use Photoshop CS3 and Corel X4 and no problem at all. My laptop is a DELL Inspiron 6400, 2GB RAM and 160 HDD...
Am using Vista Home Edition, came in Chinese with my new ACER laptop, and it is working great! Considering doing a dual boot with Ubuntu though in the coming weeks. But will be using mostly the Vista OS.
I went from Windows XP Pro to Vista Ultimate (32bit) and wouldn't even dream of going backwards. In all seriousness, it has been flawless since I installed it 3-4 months a go - not one crash, blue screen, hang or otherwise. I'm currently in the process of testing out 64bit Vista as I'm running 4Gb Ram, two 8800GT's in SLi and so on and would like to be able to use those resources considering I paid enough money for it.
Window Vista Basic here .... on a Crap Lap Top was already installed when I purchased, it works good if I am only doing small jobs and working on sites, using video editor and crap is useless and toooo slow. Guess it depends on the system it's installed on .... I would use XP if I could be bothered changing.
I got vista using my 2nd laptop, and xp at my 1st laptop...Vista is ok but im much happier with my xp.
