I don't think these windows live products are advertised enough! last month i asked who is using windows live mail desktop. I got little response. I have been using it for a few weeks now and love it.

I am also using windows live one care, which is a firewall/AV program. Its really good and gets straight to the point, unlike my last firewall. Its free for 90 days then £35/year.

I just use the free Windows Defender, which is included with Windows Vista, along with other security software such as ZoneAlarm and AVG.

OneCare is a good security suite, comparable with Norton, Kasperski etc'. I signed up for the trial, but still thing that will prefer a combination of free security products: AVG, AdAware and Defender.

I use the Live One Safety Center which does a full scan, pretty sweet. It check registrys and all that.

It has always escaped me why MS wasn't more proactive in registry and speed of PC type stuff :(

So Live One Care is the 'paid' version of what I use I suppose? And of course it resides on the PC itself not online.
