Here is the new scam brought to you by the profitpal scam people. http://streamdirect.tv/11/ (forget the product, read the small print in the almost hidden font on the bottom right) personally i don't care about their scams (when they copy other vendor's works or just plainly scam customers) but i know for a fact that these rebill scams are one of the FTC's highest priorities and this may get clickbank into trouble which will ruin it for all of us.
Scam? No. Shady? Yes. It's no worse (probably better) than ALL the forex products on CB and many of the other "popular" CB products from other niches.
Yes, it's shady, but it's not nowhere as scammy as those rebills on the CPA Networks, mostly acai, teeth whitening, e-cig and similar stuff. They make it look like the customer is getting a free trial, when in fact, the customer is rebilled each month for a big amount, like $60-$90. Those products had a lot of problems with the FTC
I don't think those are scams. I've read that these products don't deliver exactly what they promise but they do deliver some of the TV channels. There are way more shady looking products out there. If you are promoting this product as an affiliate then I would be aware of the higher refund rates because the customers don't get what the expect.
Its shady but it is there for all to see and they see it when they go to pay ... Plus they get the CB 60 day guarantee
I agree that its not exactly a scam. If you choose to promote a product that charges every month than make sure it is a good product.
Legal maybe, but certainly dishonest to "X" out $44.95 and say it is on 4.95 and then obscure the additional 40 to be added back on in a few hours. If no one offers these products they would go away.
Is it any good,, if you pay $44 and it works, maybe you might forgive the print being so small. But if it's no use,, then maybe it is a scam.. OH.. and BTW... I see Troy is banned, what did I miss ?
