I think that whoever is doing the online marketing/SEO on www.hometownquotes.com is doing a fabulous job and really knows what they're doing - but I have no idea who does it. Does anyone know?

sorry to say but i don't think so....on-page SEO lacks many points to be implemented....off-page is nicely done

I think the SEO of this site should focus on its on-page stuffs. There are important tags that are not optimized and should be improve. Anyway, based on its links, its absolutely impressive.

Yeah, you're right - the on page does need work for the main part of the site. However, they literally have thousands of pages (use YAhoo's Site Explorer and you'll see what I'm talking about) that they link back to the home page, but the no pages link to them. I think these are the ones they're using for SEO. They have unique pages for each state that have organic positions on the SEs. Example:

    their Idaho page - http://www.hometownquotes.com/idaho-insurance-quotes.html
    Delaware page - http://www.hometownquotes.com/delaware-insurance-quotes.html

They even have city pages - http://www.hometownquotes.com/las-vegas-insurance.html

All the local pages have unique titles, metatags, and anchor text. It's a great idea in my opinion.
