Hi everybody, I've been into the online business for a pretty long time - and from what I know, it's important to have a legal Terms of Service and Privacy Policy in place. My question is, who do you use? Like can you get the thing for free and just alter your details? Thanks, Xohaib
Xohaib, I'm sure that if you're asking for a free option that you're not going to heed my advice, but I'm going to give it anyway. Yes, there are free templates and generators out there. Does it offer you any protection? Some. My opinion is that you get what you pay for. A standard generator isn't tailored to your business, doesn't address your business model specifically and doesn't take into consideration the specific concerns of your business and/or industry. Only a lawyer who spends their time doing terms of service and privacy policies can do that for you. If you're in an industry where it is likely that you'll have legal issues (i.e., auction sites, music or video sites, forums, adult sites, e-commerce sites, etc.), you'd be best served by paying a little bit of money now and saving yourself the headache and oodles of money later that come from finding out too late that you haven't adequately protected yourself. If you have other questions, let me know.
