Can posts be really a measure? You could just post lots on the general discussion forum and increase post count. Of course itraders is a good way to find out. But older members had an unfair advantage. I have heard from my friends that you could exchange itraders for just about anything, even freebies, some times back
Not now. I heard earlier it was possible. Maybe a year or so back!!! I wasn't here then. My friends told me
You friends were right. iTrader was a bit of a joke back then - people selling something for 20 cents and increasing their iTrader by 50 points on a single deal thread. It's still not great.
And that counts for nothing too. Getting rep isn't that difficult as it once used to be, thanks to the "I-scratch your-back-you scratch-mine" stuff.
Well i always take up-front payment from buyers because i don't like to take risk on online world .. But i would say DP marketplace is still good, and i don't think that all premium members are honest.
No. Anyone who was *lucky* enough to capitalise on the poor system back then still has their ill-gotten iTrader points now. I'll not name any examples but I can think of at least one scammer with 400 iTrader points, half of them obtained through the weakness of the old system.
I have seen members who joined in November of 2009 and they are a premium member. So I would not base trust on whether someone is premium or not. I obviously trust members with a high itrader count, and those who I have dealt with in the past.
I have my own ways of telling whether I should trust someone and I change my ways any time I start seeing people talking about the methods I use in public.
I trust everyone...those in my friends' list a little more (maybe!) However, I am less quick to deal with "new" members with minimal posts or with little to no i-trader count...
