Who created the term "webmaster"

    I search the web but can't find anything about it. I just found it funny why a administrator being called a "master"

    Really got frustated to know that i even haven't found any good defination of Webmaster other than this :

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Webmaster

    in the Internet. This is not sufficient enough about the root of the Word. I wish some Modern English Language Teacher Can help us to get this.
