i like to click just because I know its giving others cash from google. Feels pretty nice to know you just gave someone money for doing nothing but clicking.
I sometimes find ads more helpfull than the website since nobody puts an ad to send you to another google ad page.
I click ads mainly when it's a niche search, ie I wouldn't click an ad for new york hotels but I'd click an ad if I was looking for some small software program and the ad described what I needed. I also wondered who clicks ads but all you've to do is watch your average user browsing the net. Most people are idiots. I've seen people panic when they see that ad that says your PC is full of viruses and call me over for help!
I dont even know where to look on a webpage anymore to see ads. I think I automatically block all them out in my eye balls.
I'll click on an ad if it's something that looks interesting. However, if the site the ad is on did well on the search engines for what I'm looking for and offers absolutely nothing on that topic - I WILL NEVER CLICK ONE OF THEIR ADS! I feel they are just scamming both me and the advertiser.
I click on the ad if it's interesting or is something that I'm searching for. On MFA sites, however, I usually pull up the link properties (w/Firefox) and copy out the target url and paste it into my address bar -- I don't want to be the guy who's feeding the MFA sites.
Yeah, I'm thinking that most ads are clicked by the less computer literate surfers out there. My mom clicks on a lot of ads...
From myself using adsense as a form of income and realizing how well over 50% of the sites are MFA's or scams (could be my niche but still willing to bet the % is way high up for any niche) I tend not to click on any google ad's when I surf.
i use ads blocker since my son (3 years old) love to play mouse.... just in case that he click my own ads
I click on ads just like everyone said when they are relevant to what im looking for. And i also click on ads if i find some new very interesting website with unique content and tutorials that i really love.
According to several Adsense Gurus, apparently searchers using Google are more IT-savvy and this group of surfers usually won't click Adsense ads but prefer to copy the URLs (for use with another browser) of any interesting sites. All those talks by "I-am-rich-you-are-not" promoters of various "make-tons-of-adsense-money eBooks/products" are discouraging surfers to make direct clicks. Remember the images of USD9xx,xxx.xx cheque appearing so many times? Surfers using MSN are said to be less IT-savvy and click more Adsense ads.
I am rarely clicking on ads. I click only if i see something really interesting or if i`m on a website and i`m not pleased of it, i click for something simillary
I have not intentionally ever click on AdSense ads (or any ads) other than those within the results page of a Google Search. Not sure why really. It might be down to ad blindness.
They most likely do. I was working for a computer company before and was rather computer literate, but am much more computer literate now. Well anyway, there was another girl there that was in her late 30's. Well she never hardly used a computer before she got the job, but she could touch type because she use to use a type writer alot. Well when ever she was on the computer she aways use to click on the ads and didn't even know they were ads. These were actually the normal sized banner ads and not text ads. Adsense was not even out then. I bet she most probably clicks on adsense ads thinking that they are not ads. I don't see here now as she moved to another country. But anyway, computer users that are not computer literate click on ads and it doesn't really come to their mind that they are making that website money.
