I stopped clicking ads when I started Affiliate Marketing. Maybe those who have knowledge on how things work, don't click ads..lol
I'm the exact opposite, especially when I'm browsing sites related to working from home, Internet marketing, etc. Sometimes I even get enticed by the Adsense ads on my own sites, (which I know you're not supposed to click). So I highlight the URL and try to visit it that way. I think if an Adsense ad really attracts one of your personal interests, it's hard not to click, (even if you're the type who detests advertising).
When I am just browsing the internet, I use Mozilla Firefox because it includes an ad blocker so I don't need to see any ads! However, when I am looking for sites or marketing, or reviewing sites, I use internet explorer or opera. So, I don't click ads a whole lot, but from time to time I may.
I click about 20 ads a year and mostly when I like the webmasters site. I thinks that the prevention to ad blindness is to make different ad themes/colors and make them change places randomly with code. With my website www.pspisogames.info I made $15 doing nothing and all from intermission ads and about 1.00 from clicks.
i usually only click on AdSense ones either cause of a cool banner or because its relevant to what i searched usually when I'm buying something
Funny, I do a LOT, mostly for research. How do you research your own PPC advertising keywords, PPC ad copy, landing page offers, etc. if you never click on Ads?
How can you say that !!! you mean Google doesn't place relevant ads for their viewers ? I dont think so Usually, i browse the content of website and if i found any ad which is tell something more about content then i may click on them.
Hello, I've always done this as it's force of habit, but I do suppose everyone is different. Regards, William
I don't click that many ads either, especially on Google Search. I skip the sponsored ads and straight into the organic results, because who do you think provides better 'content' a person with a $1000 to spare or someone who's worked hard to ensure that his content gets exposure, and you can assume that he works hard on that content because it's GOOD content. (unless blackhat of course) It's natural now, I skip pretty much any Adverts I see. A lot of the time Adsense ads have something to pay for behind them, like an eBook or affiliate product, so unless I'm extremely interested I wouldn't click - or extremely lazy I would normally do a Google Search to find what I'm looking for, besides relevant ads don't seem so relevant after all.
A friend's site just got banned from adsense program for having so many clicks in one day a few days ago. Its very rediculous to be banned like that cuz accordding to him haters must have overclicked to get him banned... now hes trying to appeal to Google. Thats my ad click story
If I see something which interests me, I'll click it, but I'll usually only click it if it is well positioned and maybe placed at a crucial point with regards to the content. Otherwise I can easily tune out a page of ad links if they are obviously just that.
