    You can learn PHP if you have knowledge of HTML/CSS.

    IMO its easy to learn, its open source and available for free.

    Any one intersted in creating Dynamic Webpages can learn php. if you have learnt C/C++ earlier then it helps.. as php is very similar to it ;)

    It's impossible to learn PHP unless you're very familiar with HTML already. Other than that, anyone can learn PHP - it just takes dedication and the eagerness to learn

    Because it's pretty easy, it's widespread, similar to C++ and to some extent even Java and it integrates wonderfully with MySQL which is one of the most popular databases out there. In my opinion, if you want to learn a web programming language, then learn PHP, because you will surely be able to do absolutely anything with it.

    2. Its free
    3. It blends extremely well with LINUX
    4. Other good languages are ASP and RUBY. Many people do not like Microsoft. RUBY was nothing until RAILS came into picture. RUBY ON RAILS is comparatively new

    If you really want to get the most out of php, have a deep knowledge of html and css first, as most php pages require you to output html for display in the browser. Start off with html, css then javascript, then ssi then php.

    Anyone can learn php. It is like any othe programming language. It just depends on what you are most comfortable with and what you want to accomplish. An easy language that is on the rise right now is Ruby.

    So take a look into that.
