Who can help me with Downloadtime of my web

    I run a website with lots of pics, the downloadtime is too long, this really hurt my traffic. Any one can help me? My web is www.savegear.com . Thanks a lot

    I think the best way is to reduce unnecessary picture animations,Graphs etc.

    Here's what will reduce loading time: USE THUMBNAILS!

    The small pictures on your main page are big pictures made smaller with html code! That's not how it should be. You need to make small pictures with any photoprogram (or a php script) and upload those to be viewed on your main site.
    Wherever you want to show the pictures in real size, use the big picture.

    So if you have a picture 'picture1.jpg' make a thumbnail (small picture) called 'picture1_thumb.jpg' that's far smaller in filesize. On the main page (and everywhere where you show a small picture) you show 'picture1_thumb.jpg' and everywhere you want to show a big picture you show 'picture1.jpg'.

    And if this is a spammy way to promote your site, I tell you, you're being dumb, because this is a great forum and you're losing your chance to participate :)
