If you explain what exactly the Joomla component is all about, without giving too much of your plan and product away then I am sure we can help you along. You must first understand that it's almost impossible to just "release" something and start magically getting sales, you need to have a solid marketing plan and strategy in order to get mazximum exposure and brand awareness as possible. The best way to do this is simple - forget about money. Forget about your component selling for the time being, and just focus on establishing a buzz and awe around the product that makes people think not only "damn, he knows his stuff", but also "Damn, I want that thing". I've done basically the same as you, but am just about to launch my product for real and should be making $10,000 at least from it :-p Seriously, if you want more advise... the days are long and I easily get bored so gimme a PM Rich
