    guys, i would reckomend you just install wordpress and publish pages rather than posts .... easy and cheap

    there is a pluggin that turns a normal page into the index page ...

    wordpress 2.2 doesn't need the plugin anymore
    there is an option to select what you want to have as a home page ;-)

    Thanks for that .... I have offered to help a school sort out its website which is mostly coded in html/notepad .... no CMS and they are having problems putting the kids work on regularly .... stuff is building up on them ..... they also do a weekly diary ..... I'm at a loss how to approach a solution for them.

    Any 'expert' out there who may be able to advise would be very welcome ... PM me please .... I'm sorry for hijacking Blacksnow's thread so I need to call a halt to my postings here .... Apologies again Blacksnow!

    i would recommend that you go play around with wordpress for 30 minutes.

    it does it for me for none blog simple sites.
