I do not see any problem if they use WHMCS as their billing/support system! WHMCS is a powerful script and a lot of companies use it.

I don't see any issues with using WHMCS. We have a custom accounting and billing system that cost us a fortune to buy along with a monthly fee just under 4 figures. I looked at WHMCS recently and realized it did everything our billing system did but at a fraction of the cost. OK, the PDF invoices aren't as pretty or as customisable, but using it would save us thousands of pounds over the year and our customers would have the added advantage of being able to view their invoices online. The other features such as automated account set-up are bonuses as far as I'm concerned, and we'll be bringing it live in the next few weeks.

    Hi There,

To answer your question, we use WHMCS after moving from ModernBill. Along with many other host's that used to swear by ModernBill, we got disillusioned by their product after several less than acceptable releases, so the time came to move to WHMCS. The software provides an excellent platform to build on. If you login to our client area (you don't have to buy anything, so feel free to sign up and have a look), we've reorganised the menu structure and simplified the support implementation to suit our customers needs.

By no means would I say that WHMCS is perfect, but as has been already mentioned, WHMCS is pretty much the industry standard these days, hence it's popularity with our customers. Even the bigger players such as clook.net, have now switched to WHMCS, albeit with the original WHMCS look being well disguised.

But as for who we are, we're based in the UK, have been offering web hosting for 5 years, and we're the result of the merger of 3 design companies hosting operations.

Thanks for asking though, as we've never seen these forums before, so we're looking forward to frequenting them more often :)

    Cheers,

    Lee

If it isn't broke then don't fix it. Seriously, WHMCS is by far the best software to use.
