Who are the NWO?

    I've heard some people talk about it as if they're controlling the entire world. What is up with that?

    It's a famous conspiracy theory, especially here in the States.

    There are lots of versions, which range from silly to crazy:

    * 4.1 "Benevolent New World Order" theory
    * 4.2 "Commonwealth of God" theory
    * 4.3 "Anti-Semitic New World Order" theory
    * 4.4 "Council on Foreign Relations" theory
    * 4.5 Apocalyptic Christian theories centering on the Book of Revelation
    * 4.6 Anti-Masonic theories centering on the phrase "Novus Ordo Seclorum"
    * 4.7 "Fourth Reich" theory
    * 4.8 "Megacorporation" theory
    * 4.9 UFO conspiracy theory
    * 4.10 "Singularity" theory

    There seems to be different versions. And either of these versions seem to draw heavily off of past conspiracy theories that tend to involve masons and zionists and the rich and powerful in general.

    There's people here that believe in it, mostly Ron Paul supporters, maybe they will be able to explain it in more detail.

    Well, GHWB popularized the phrase during his term in the early '90s... he was specifically referring to the "new world order" in terms of American hegemony following the collapse of the USSR. In that sense, the NWO is the USA and her allies...

    Too many would have you believe that it's a secret society that has been running the world behind the scenes, and are the cause of most discourse. Apparently, they will rise up at some point and take over everything, and so small pockets of completely insane conspiracy theorists build communities up in the mountains, and live away from society, stocking their cabins with weapons, for when the secret masters come to take their guns away.

    I have heard that it is a joint effort by Liberal Commies, and the Lizard Masters. It's all ridiculous, although I am sure there will be someone who jumps on me for saying that, and has an alternative version (i.e. one of the hundreds out there on the net) that they swear is true, and calling me ignorant for not believing. it.

    Don't just believe in ideas that you like... believe in ones that are true.

    That's the difference between conspiracy whackjobs... and normal people.

    Conspiracy movies are entertaining to watch, but their ideas are easily shown to be false with only the slightest of research.

    The first poster here that seems to know what he's talking about..

    There's nothing "crazy" or "silly" about the concept. Of course there's different theories about what the "NWO" actually is, as with anything that is well.. undefined. Maybe those of you who mock the truth should ask our politicians what exactly the NWO is, they've crafted the term. And it's not like you have to search far to see the term used, Kissinger wasn't stuttering here a few days ago.

    Conspiracy theories are inevitable when some undefined phrase starts being used here and there between politicians and others who hold powerful positions, wide open for the sheeple to witness.

    If he believes there is one coherent, logical NWO theory then he doesn't know what he's talking about. The term new world order is an old one. It may have become popularized when GHWB used it but not because it was new, it just so happened that a bunch of paranoid people jumped on it because it is a term that can easily be made to sound scary. Some of the first people to jump on Bush's use of the term was fundamentalist christian preachers. Because to them any 3 word term that includes both the words "world" and "order" must have to do with the apocalyptic book of revelations being fulfilled.

    The theory(and it doesn't deserve the designation of theory) is crazy and silly.

    There's nothing coherent and logical about it and it doesn't present a body of solid evidence to support it. If you talk to ten different NWO conspiracy believers, you'll get 11 different versions. Leaders like Alex Jones just take the approach of making everything part of a conspiracy and attributing it to the NWO.
    The "theory" is completely made up of half baked suspicions and accusations and then explanations are given which cannot be observed or tested in any way.
    This is why the sub-theories, if you will, that make up the theory are so malleable. If a prediction doesn't come true then the theorist just provides an explanation of why the NWO changed their mind.

    That "undefined" phrase was "defined" by a few charismatic and creative people and fed to the sheeple who would then buy their books, cds, listen to their radio shows and worship them for being the bearer of forbidden knowledge.

    Awww what happened, get bored having me on ignore? I knew it wouldn't last long; if it weren't for me, you couldn't make a name for yourself being the clown that you are. It's a shame too, cause you really tried in that last post.

    Don't give up, just because I'm done taking you seriously doesn't mean others are too finally.

    Are you going to turn the focus of this thread to me as well? I was debating you seriously. Isn't that what you want? Or do you just want to bitch about me because I made you sore months ago making fun of your theories. Sorry to hurt your feelings, nate. Get over it. Stop trying to wreck every thread and making it about us. It's just getting weird, you're not even an ex-girlfriend.

    Oh, and greasemonkey is not enabled. I only put your name in the troll list to get the screenshot because I knew you would like it because of its special meaning. :)
    Same with imad. I wouldn't put him on ignore because I like debunking his propaganda so much. You know, the pro-terrorist stuff that you agree with.

    Made me sore? So you're gay is what you mean?

    I'm only doing to you what you did to me, turn the focus away and ruin opportunity for good discussion. You incorporate conspiracy theory into any subject when you're posting to me or about me.

    What's a matter, can't handle your own medicine? Is it too strong for you? You might need a doctor to prescribe my posts when I'm finished with you.

    LOL. I don't have a doctor or use prescription drugs because the drug companies are part of the NWO. The drugs could contain chemicals that could make me sterile as a part of the NWO's plan to exterminate the majority of humanity. Or they could make me mutate into a lizard person. You know how much harder it would be for me to kiss NWO puppet Obama's ass with a lizard tongue?

    Uh, it wasn't a joke, his usage was rather obvious.

    And by the way, don't you have some other boots to lick? I guess since your last leader has been absent much lately, it's only natural to cling to the next loudmouth in line.

    Oh you don't? That's too bad cause you might need one soon, could get AIDS the way you're swinging.

    Gayness was the furthest thing from my mind when I wrote that.

    Please keep your attacks directed this way. No reason to bring innocents into it.

    Your xenophobic proclivities -- as a Ron Paul supporter -- are starting to show. ;)
    I didn't know he railed against the gays too, I thought it was just the blacks. Did I miss that issue of his newsletter or something?

    May I ask what was in your head at the time? And don't say man meat, that would be all too revealing.

    Maybe you should tell her that, she opted to interrupt. You can't play both superman and the joker, Logic, it just doesn't work like that.

    Taking the politically correct route? I'd expect nothing less from you. Just another dull tool in your shed. Outta jokes already or are you trying to impress some others with your PC usage?

    You must have one hell of a closet to draw any sort of gay inferences from that statement. I don't mean like the closet of an average homophobe(who are usually compensating for a dirty secret) but a closet like the one from the movie poltergeist, except one where the demons have impeccable wardrobes and never miss an episode of Ellen.

    Interrupted what, one of your personal rants against me?

    No closet, just a little more in tune with how language is used.

    Hahah. No surprise, your best bet is to hammer away at political correctness at this point. But you're failing miserably right now cause you've abandoned the humorous approach you so often take.

    Normally I'd play lawyer with you, but you'll just run away to some other aspect of our dialogue. Come down and play clown Logic, it's no use to run and hide.

    Interrupting what? I could swear you and I were having what you would either call a conversation or an argument. But I understand, it seemed wiser at the time to act like this never happened so you could insert the second half.
