    This interested me so I looked into it. India has both field hockey and ice hockey teams. The field hockey teams have competed in Olympics. The ice hockey teams never have. Here in the U.S., when we talk about hockey at a professional or Olympic level, it is ice hockey that we are talking about. My daughter played field hockey in school, but that is the extent of that sport, as far as I am aware.
