I am... and I hate it!!! We don't get high speed in our area...

Its soooo slow, Whenever I am uploading or downloading for site creation purposes, etc I have to let it run over night just to get it done! Its ridiculous.

Who here is trying to make your sites, business here on the dreaded Dial Up?

    Tried getting internet via satellite?

Never used it or anything, but they say it's fast (and expensive).

I've heard about satellite internet, they actually have it here down the road. Apparently its expensive and not that fast..... Guess I'll be living with dial up until they get some damn DSL out here.

I have a GPRS connection which is as slow as the dialup. Though at night the speed goes better.

We're supposed to be on broadband, but due to the old copper wires it feels like dial-up at most times! Supposed to be on a 8mb cnnection but can only connect at around 128kbps, which is still probably better than dial-up.

Well I have actually two internet connections. One is via microwave anthen (little internet provider in my city... they are cheap and you have unlimited download/upload... I use that when I'm at home... they are fast enough for me - 10Mb/s download and 2Mb/s upload... but it has one drawback... This connection is actually divided between two apartmans... but the other family isn't using internet very often so I usually have pretty speedy net) and the other one is via data card in my notebook. It has limited download/upload but I can connect to internet when I am not home and it isn't that slow (5,3 Mb/s)...

I have cable at home but it's a "light" package which is basically the same as dial-up. I have broadband at work so I do all my downloading here :)

wow - didn't believe anyone in the modern world had dial-up still - but, it's better than nothing!

I think you have to move to a place with broadband ;-)

Try using an air card, Im out in the field alot and it works even in the most remote areas. Very speedy and about $60p/m highly recommend it.

The best one so far is the Sierra Wireless AirCard 595U which you can use for desktop/laptop/Macintosh Its simply amazing
    Good luck!
