Google hasn't accepted me yet so:

    Yahoo>Msn>Google for me. :(

But then again, seo account for only 5% of my traffic...

Total website pageviews are 2,500 daily. Of that portion coming from search engines, Yahoo! represents 16%. Not an insignificant contribution.

I think having links alone wont work. You have to see that your site does appear higher on results when compared to sites similiar to yours indexed by yahoo. For that you have to see all usual stuff as keywordde nsity meta tags title tags etc. If your site appear on a result page 4 or beyond in a search, chances of getting visitor become remote.

Getting indexed by Yahoo and other search engines alone won't guarantee trafffic. Traffic occurs when people click on the links they see at the Search Engine Results Pages. And people click when the title and description they see is interesting enough.

So, in addition to making your pages search engine friendly, you also have to choose titles (contents of the title tag) and description (the description meta tag and the first two sentences or so of the body copy) that would interest people.

I think it depends a bit on what kind of site you have. A geekier site will have a greater percentage of Google visitors (and more Firefox users, too).

^ I agree. Some searches generate hardly any traffic from Yahoo even with good rankings.
