The first BCS rankings of 2009 are a week away and the Florida Gators are still the consensus No. 1 but there is a discrepancy in the Associated Press and USA Today polls when it comes to No. 2.

According the AP poll, the Alabama Crimson Tide is the No. 2 team in the nation on the strength of a 22-3 win over Ole Miss on the weekend.

However, USA Today has the Tide ranked No. 3 and the Texas Longhorns in the No. 2 spot.

‘Bama hosts South Carolina this week and is a big 17.5-point home fave.

Texas defeated Colorado 38-14 on the weekend and will play Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry game this week.

The Longhorns are favored by a field goal in that game.

I think that Florida should be number 2 They definitely don't deserve to be number 1 they are way overrated. Now the best player to ever wear the number 2 jersey is from the university of michigan. Charles Woodson.
