How many of you have migrated from OG to WHMCS? We are finally looking at dumping this product. It's not been updated in years and is a constant headache in terms of patching holes and other quirks. Was the migration easy?
I like the WHMCS software but I dislike their support. They tend to be rude and unresponsive. ClientExec has come a long way and is pretty much as good as WHMCS. Blesta is also a great option.
We use WHMCS for many years now. With over 2000 hosting and domain clients you just got to have something solid and WHMCS does just that. Never had problems with this billing software. Just too bad it's not completely opensource.
Really? All their pre-sales support has been very good. I realize they are in a much different time zone, so responses are delayed, but that is of little concern to me. I'm used to having an absentee developer coming from Optigold
WHMCS is real good. I have bin working with them for quite smoe time now and not had a problem so far. I recommend WHMCS.
You should be able to, but you might have to manually go through and print it out the Invoices by looking in the email history and printing off the PDF that was emailed to them.
You could always ask their support or mozzy around their forums asking to see if anyone has a quicker way of doing that.
I kinda need something that does what I do now. I come in in the morning and the invoices are on the printer waiting to be stuck in an envelope and mailed.
Whmcs is decent and fairly easy to administer and configure. Clientexec is a bit more confusing. Modernbill used to be very popular, but it seems to be less popular now, and it is a real pain and very confusing. They are all cheap enough to test out and demo.
I have been using WHMCS for some time now on multipul projects. It works great for tracking clients and services as well as invoicing.
But does it allow you to do paper invoices easily? That was the biggest detractor to the product for us.
