hi, zamfoo.com needs beta testers for their new plugin Zamfoo: Migr@tor which allows clients to migrate their own accounts. since deasoft never fixed their software this fills the void. the software works great for me. check it out. hosty managment
It's only free for 5 days? This seems like a really good deal, but deasoft is fixing it on version 3.3 master reseller which is coming out soon.
no expected release date, but yeah they are working to release v3.3 which will cover all of the bugs, and a 5 day trial will hurt a lot of people since not everyone will remember to get another trial.
hi, 1) do you trust deasoft to develop any software for your machine? their software sucks. that feature the way its being implimented will have bugs and will never work as expected. not to mention, as proven before, they will cause bugs else where in their software that where once working. 2) it can cause loads on the server that aren't expected. what if 10 people at the same time initial a migration to 10 different servers at the same time? zamfoo doesn't. it is an ftp upload and queue'ed install 3) do you really want to chance an upgrade and lose all of your clients? 4) 5 days is sufficient for testing. it isn't a very sophisticated gui and is very intuitive if you have a dedicated server. the 5 day trial is just for that reason. the plugin will be for sale. 5) the expected release date is 1 week from now and will be a monthly recurring payment. price is still undetermined but expected to be around 5.00 thanks, hosty management
Sorry to hijack your thread but this is correct, i have been using deasofts software for 3 years and every version is the same they say they are fixing all bugs the next version and it always gets worse. They may fix some of the bugs but new ones will arise, this software has never worked completely the way it is suppose to work. Just think about this, why has cpanel not implicated a software like this? why don't large data centers use this soft ware? Here is the answer it is completely unstable, and causing more problems on the server then need be. Support sucks and you lose more customers then you gain with the master reseller software. I wish I never started using it as it has caused me more problems then it is worth. I migrate my customers accounts for them so avoid any problems.
hi, no worries. zamfoo will also offer master reseller and alpha master reseller software. but back to zamfoo: migrator. even using the whm migration tool can be un reliable. it can hang up or skip steps if the server is over loaded or miss data being transferred it also doesn't allow people to move sites themselves easily. the zamfoo installer is 100 percent reliable because it uses the whm site installer that whm uses after it moves the site to the server. the only difference is that it uses the full backup file rather than the move file and the transaction is done by the client using ftp instead of root via ssh through whm. migr@tor is designed to give the clients flexibility to move the site themselves at their leisure and timing(say when you are busy fixing a server problem and its urgent for them to move it over) or in the middle of the night when support is down for the night. you don't want to not have to worry about handling migrations? you of all people should check the software out. thanks, hosty management
