    Hello all,
    Okay, I have been ripping my hair over this, but still cannot get it working.
    I bought a VPS with Godaddy (Yes, some people tell me this was a mistake), and I am trying to setup a hostname and nameserver on it.
    I received an email saying I had successfully set up a registrar for ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com. However, when I try and setup an account, it says this:

    +===================================+
    | New Account Info |
    +===================================+
    | Domain: mydomain.com
    | Ip: 111.119.111.111 (n)
    | HasCgi: y
    | UserName: mydomain
    | PassWord: domain
    | CpanelMod: x
    | HomeRoot: /home
    | Quota: 0 Meg
    | NameServer1: ns1.mydomain.com
    | NameServer2: ns1.mydomain.com <<<< THIS IS THE PROBLEM!
    | NameServer3:
    | NameServer4:
    | Contact Email:
    +===================================+

    Now, why on earth is it saying for me to set both nameservers to NS1? I don't understand :(
    Any help much appreciated!

    Basic cpanel / whm setup, (1st option, top left) change your nameservers in there and try again.

    Does the domains root hostname resolve properly ?

    Well, I have set the secondary nameserver to NS2, but still no luck :/
    The root hostname yes, does resolve properly.

    It might take from 24 to 72 hours to complete your request for full propagation.

    In cpanel there is an option to enter a records for the nameserver. I would recommend you make sure it is correctly entered.

    Nah dude do the following

    FIRST lets see if the server has the right info

    login as root
    click basic settings
    check for nameservers, they are there? ok lets move on
    on the left it should say "Add an "A" entry" click it and add it

    That should fix it but lets see further

    Click reseller centre
    click edit priveledges on any reseller accounts
    at the bottom check for nameservers, if they arent there then add em and then "Add an 'A' entry" for all of them

    Do that and you'll be good.
