Probably one of the most boring things to talk about, oh well. My teeth have followed the path of my hair, with age it continues to worsen. ...well, I decided to restyle my hair by completely going bald (it was a forced decision ) but I can't just rip my teeth out obviously. So, on my adventure towards white teeth I have tried a few techniques, not many, but still a few. Technique #1: Brushing my teeth! Believe it or not, brushing your teeth does have some effects. I decided to brush my teeth twice a day. Once in the morning, and again at night. Mind you, I may have missed a day or two, more than once. Result: The nasty green color in my teeth went away. The yellow became much less noticeable. Technique #2: Brushing my teeth with baking soda! Enjoyable? Maybe not. Effective? Definitely. If you are willing to torture yourself by brushing your teeth with baking soda then there may be some good results from doing so. After a while you might even grow to enjoy the flavor! Result: I did this while brushing my teeth with normal toothpaste. By adding baking soda it almost got all the unwanted colors and grossness out of my teeth. Technique #3: Brushing my teeth with Sensodyne ProNamel! Alright, so I have a dentist friend and I got her to steal me some toothpaste. Clever? Definitely. Small tubes, definitely will not last too long, but I will have to buy more in the future. Result: I just used it for the first time five minutes ago (inspired me to write this) and I was pleasantly surprised with the results after just one use! A sloppy use of course, just rushing myself to get back to the computer, no effort when brushing. Let me just put it this way...I just went about a week without brushing my teeth and during the week my teeth have seen a lot of scary things. They were really yucky once again but right after brushing them all the nasty stuff went away! Now they are pretty much completely white. While it may be far from a shiny white, it is no longer yellow, green, etc. Also, not only did it change my teeth's color but they feel different too. They feel stronger, but it feels like I got a swolen overbite for some reason ...it feels like I have the messy teeth whitening strips on my mouth stuck there, hardening in place. There are parasites crawling out of my nose! Ohh dear, I think the toothpaste got me high. - End of spam -
As a kid, always. As a teenager, it took patterns (6 months on, 2 months off, randomly). As an adult, I brushed my teeth with normal toothpaste but I was a heavy smoker up until recently. I would skip brushing my teeth once and a while, and combined with smoking and drinking a lot of pop, it definitely did some wear and tear to my teeth. Now that I have quit smoking and rarely drink anything but water, whiskey (no one kicks all their habits), and Crystal Light. I was brushing my teeth regularly a few months ago but got out of the routine temporarily. Now that I have found the best toothpaste in the world (I am in no way affiliated to the company that made it), I can get back on routine. Also, the baking soda + toothpaste was something I did while I was still smoking and such. It did have effects but they didn't make a huge difference.
your teeth may look whiter but im guessing bcos your lack of proper consistent teeth cleaning there will be lots of forced visits to the dentist in the future = pain & expensive costs you can drink sugar free soft drink (pop) and slowly get used to the different taste if you like it that much
I sometimes miss days cleaning my teeth, because of how lazy I was. However lately I've been cleaning them A LOT.
Old teeth whitening remedy: Rub the inside of banana peels on your teeth. Potassium is your friend, as are vitamin d and calcium. Citric Acid and sugar love oxidizing, think the inside of an apple that's been exposed to O2 for a while. I've been getting fed up with my teeth. They're not yellow or anything, but ive noticed a few tiny black dots on the back of my front bottom 4 teeth and my wisdom teeth are starting to come in...I haven't been to a dentist in a while, I definitely should make that visit soon.
the only way to keep your teeth white is keep brushing it everyday, and gargling them after dinner. then a problem for my little cousin: how to deal with the caries problem? and caires?
I'm actually pretty teeth-obsessed coz I have a nice smile (lmfao right?) & have always been determined to keep it that way. What I do are just simple stuff though, I do regular visits to the dentist for cleanings (sometimes once a year but I hear it's best to do it once every 6 months). The last time I've been to the dentist for a cleaning was this September (2 months ago). Brush an hour after a meal (yeah, most of you probably think its best to brush right after a meal, but actually it's best to brush an hour after a meal). I take calcium vitamins everyday. Pretty much it.
A technique I have used several times and it works for many things including helping strengthen gums and whiten teeth as a result. It is called 'Oil Pulling'. Basically this technique involves putting about 10ml of Olive Oil in your mouth everyday for 10 minutes and gargling with it in your mouth followed by spitting it out. As a result it removes many toxins from your system and kills bacteria. Explained on this website I found in google; http://oilpulling.com/ Worth trying guys...
Thanks, I'll look into it. I got an old bottle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil sitting around, maybe that will work. I have become somewhat of a guinea pig for all these self-acclaimed "home remedies" for various health related problems. However, I can guarantee you (ahem, Traditione) I will not be putting banana peels in my mouth no matter how great the benefits are! Grrr...I was eating ...ohh, and since this post I have brushed them twice a day, no slip ups. They look a LOT better than they were just a few weeks ago. Anyways, off to watch Black Dynamite.
search oil pulling my teeth have gone much whiter and its improved my health alot too especially my gum health.
i am already having white teeth cuz i take care of them very well so thr is no need to go wid these stuff.
Brushing teeth with baking soda is not good from the dentists' point of view, because it may harm teeth enamel.
