    Hi,

I have created a blog and wanted to get the sitemap working however it says that its blocked also my robots.txt file is saying allow. I contacted my hosting compmany and they said that all major search engines are white listed, what does this mean? is it a bad thing as I need my site crawled.

    Thanks

Whitelisted is the opposite of blacklisted - i.e the hosting company is saying that they have allowed all major search engines.
But I don't know why it's up to your hosting company to decide which search engines crawl your site.

Is your blog running on Wordpress?

If yes, make sure that your privacy settings are set to " I would like my blog to be visible to everyone, including search engines (like Google, Sphere, Technorati) and archivers" instead of " I would like to block search engines, but allow normal visitors"
