Strange occurance during yesterday's earnings period I would log in, and see very gradual and incremental earnings....OK for a day. I am not complaining about that part. However, something odd when at a specific amount, the earnings stalled and actually stayed at that exact amount for another 6 more hours before the next day's earnings. This has me questioning if they put a "stop" on your earnings at any time they want? It's like they said "that's enough, you've earned enough for today"....has anyone else ever noticed this or at least felt this? Curious....
Lol, what? Absolutely not, you are not limited to a certain amount of earned money. I guess they just didn't update for that day. I do notice it sometimes, but the max I look at daily is every 4 hours. To be honest, I just look at Google Stats in the morning at 9:00, check it for like 10min and then bye bye for 24h.
Let's be honest and Google pays us whatever they want, we have no control over it, so no need to waste any time thinking about that.
appreciate the input. Just wondered how earnings could continually click along....building and building throughout the day (in small increments of course) and BAM, stop at a specific amount (and stay at the same amount) and for roughly 6 or 7 more hours NOTHING. It just has me wondering. Thanks.
dcristo: my earnings are very nominal - pennies for the most part....however, they built up and did so, at a very steady rate. THEN no more clicks for 6 hours? I don't know about you....but when you notice that, you'll then be quizzing like me.
Don't quiz too hard mate, your brain may explode. Please stop spreading the conspiracy theories, if you have a low traffic site, getting no clicks for 6 hours is very normal.
Or, hey, here's a thought - your website visitors mostly come from one timezone. They go to SLEEP. So, no clicks for ages.
Same thing happens to me often and this is the only reason i make a new thread every time when i feel that my stats are stuck to check on with others..!
Well Petr, I don't necessarily feel my site was "de-indexed" and if it was, I wouldn't know how to find out....I mean, alot of my inner pages STILL come up as a firsdt page in the search results for specific search terms when typed into "BIG G". If there was a tool to verify "de-indexing", it'd be good to know and see. And yes, I have thought about the time zone thing but get this....yesterday I'm stuck at a certain amount (AS USUAL - LOL!) and late last night, I thought OH WELL and shut down. This morning when I checked my stats it must've been just before 2:00 AM (I am in Eastern Time Zone in USA), I got about $3 in clicks!? So, I am certain it isn't a time zone issue. I know my earnings stop adding up at 2:00 AM and the restart for another 24 hour cycle. And as for F--K, no need for making a new thread, stick here....you may learn something new, I am trying to do that! BTW F--K, did you ever see the famous Johnny Cash Flipping The Bird (That would fit YOUR avatar!LOL!)
F--K, HAHA!! THIS IS THE IMAGE! Johnny Cash is an icon! Went to the school of hard knocks but is still revered by most musicians no matter what!
Mods won't like this as an avatar - Some of them still threat me to remove my current avatar but i think it is not offensive :s
I hear you. I was going to do a rough sketch for your avatar but I better not. I've done caricatures for other people's avatars etc. But the Johnny cash one is very famous and in fact, speaking of avatars, that one is all over FaceBook of all forums, as a matter of fact. It's simply a statement of rebellion (or, anti-establishment) I say!
So you don't think that a decrease in targeted visitors may have any effect? Or the fact that your visitors may have viewed different content with different ads? Before you waste any time thinking about this, simpy check your Analytics and see where your visitors landed on your page, how many pageviews they generated, if they were recurring or new visitors, where they came from (geo-location) and so on. And then take a look at your AdSense account to see which ads were clicked on, when they were clicked (how far apart form each other), if they were images or text ads and so on. Only when you have a complete understanding of how many things that come in to play when you're using AdSense you will begin to understand how it all works. Hope it helped.
wulkanen, I thnank you for your thoughts. I do in fact have Google Analytics for my main site which has all kinds of AdSense throughout. But truth be told, I go open my Analytics and look, there are so many variables to consider, tangents to go off on, and different "performing levels" for specific functions listed, it seems to be like hieroglyphics to decipher. It is very very confusing for someone who has almost 50 other sites running the same AdSense code and I find it literally exhausting to study it truth-be-told. Then if you really HAVE a legit question, people pretty much assume you're either stupid, or dumb or downright crazy for the simple questions that you ask here. I really don't even know how many visitors a day visit my site! I see the VISITS colum when I open my Analytuics, but is that for a week, the day or? They really don't spell it out. I appreciated your thoughts though!
