NONE!!! My very first email account was with Yahoo, several DECADES ago, and I used it for decades UNTIL Yahoo for some unknown reason blocked it. After trying for months to get it unblocked, I quit trying and now blackball Yahoo every chance I get.
@qwikad.com my answer would be same as @mmerlinn Created an email ID there long ago, then Yahoo blocked it for whatever reason, and I didn't cared enough to try and get it back. I created it to use it as a temp email so that I can signup to websites which force you to join a newsletter service before they send you their free PDF report... LOL I was also using Yahoo answers for a while via their API to populate a forum I had. Then they shut down their API... So doing nothing with them now. Its been so long since I even opened their homepage. However, I do sometimes feel sad about such a fast decline of Yahoo. When I started my coding career, at that time submission in their directory required 250 USD, just for review, did not even guaranteed acceptance. People used to feel so happy happy if they got accepted! Now nobody cares. I never could have imagined such a condition of Yahoo. I guess most dotcom products have a life span of 25-30 years max.
No idea why anybody would use gmail. Google gets fined every year now by the EU so why would I use it? Google promotes its own websites, it steal content, it breaches privacy. yeah, I still use yahoo email and news.
I always laugh when people state these reasons. When you're in business you wouldn't leverage your assets? As far as stealing content goes, they send websites a huge amount of FREE traffic you wouldn't get otherwise LOL. It's seriously laughable and comes from a place of jealousy.
Unfortunately I didn't find any of their product to use because there are plenty of better thing over the internet.
dcristo They send traffic, that's ok. But do you know how much traffic we webmasters are losing because of their "new featured content" section? All important content from our websites, displayed on google, and searcher never opens our website... Do a search for these or similar keywords: "Subhash Chandra death date" "Sardar patel death date" "Population of (name some state here)" "correct spelling of fuel in fire" "USA sitcom list" Do these searches, see what happens. Will you ever open the website which had the original content?
I agree with you, this is a difficult situation. My forum has a few featured content listing in google search results, I have been thinking how to get those traffic back to my site, giving partial info would be helpful?
tks Its google's choice, how much data they want to pull from your website and show in their featured section. However, if they are using a list or a table from your source, then they will only display 6-7 items. So here we can make the list/table longer, which sometimes helps...
