Probably 1 pr1 link. PR 0 links have little to no value. I have heard that it can take many PR0 links to have the same weight as a PR 1 link.
I don't really consider PR as a major factor, especially if we're talking PR0 or PR1 which are so low. If we're talking 50 PR0 or 1 PR6, then definitely the PR6. But the 5 PR0 links could actually send some decent traffic if placed right and on some good pages, so I would probably choose those
PR should only be a starting point when determining backlink quality. Personally, I would disregard PR to a certain extend and look at two things: the quality of the websites and the quality of the backlinks to those websites. Sure, one site might be PR0 but if it has thousands of PR5+ backlinks and its been awhile since a Google PR update...guess what? It's probably a high PR beast waiting to be unleashed when a new Google PR update comes along. That PR0 site suddenly starts to looks a bit more valuable. Granted, this is an extreme example but it proves a good point. Secondly, if the site is a really high quality site with unique/very useful content, then I may prefer that over a higher PR fly-by-night site. Lastly, a site may be high PR...but what if its a dropped domain? Chances are in a matter of months it will be either abandoned for lack of revenue or the PR will drop as the backlinks began to disappear. That PR5 backlink you received from that hypothetical dropped domain directory you thought was so valuable suddenly becomes worthless when a new PR update comes by, slaps it with a PR0, and the owner stops paying hosting fees. Before you know it the site has disappeared along with the $30 listing fee you paid. Other factors to consider include potential referral traffic, target market, niche relevancy, etc. Moral of the story: PR is not everything....look at the big picture.
I'll go with 5 PR0 links just because i am getting backlinks from various sites/domains which is also good for S.E.O.
Its something very unique question.. i think its better to have a PR 1 website. but could you tell me is that a web page or a website. As since Page Rank is something which passes from one web page to other but not from from site to site. PR also stands for Public Relations and so i think its better if you clearly mention as Page Rank..
I prefer 5 PR0, as i really dont care about pr, because we need traffic. Mostly new websites has PR0.
PR1 does not score very much in comparison to PR0 and hence I would opt for 5 links from PR0 instead... in order to get little better visibility! Regards, RightMan
I would prefer the 5 pr0 links, if they would generate more traffic than the pr1 link. It depends on the goal of your website. Google changes its algorith more often than I change underwear (*), especially to outsmart everyone who tries to outsmart Google. But it what it all comes down to: I make my site for my target audience, not for any search engine. So, at times, a single 0PR link may be more usefull than 100 10PR links When I built my first website (a travelsite for backpackers), I just went for every link I could get. Some of these sites grew along with mine. Nowadays, I have a PR4 on that site, while the others have anything between PR 2-6. Any link is better than no link, basically *figure of speech, I do actually get some fresh undies more often than once every few months
I would go for 5 pr0 links. This way you have more chance of getting more traffic and the difference between pr0 and 1 is to low to really care about it. Could I choose for a pr6 link I would definitely go for that.
How often does Google update PR? I like the idea of getting more PR0 sites/blogs if they have a lot of activity and will be a PR1 sooner than later. Of course I would choose a PR9000000 over a PR0, but those are pretty difficult. PR0 and PR1 and pretty simple.
I'd have to go with the 5 PR0 as well. Those 5 links have potential of rising and if they are on different sites have a better chance of driving traffic to my site as well especially if we are in similar niches.
I would choose 5 pr0 links anytime cuz potentially...all those 5 links can gain pr in the next update...However, I'd advise you not to focus on sites based on their pr..
