Which would perform better?

    Hello, I am new here. I've been a lurker for a few weeks and I've got several sites. I currently have a blog on blogger and I was wondering what would perform better a blog on a blogging site or hosting my own blog on my own server?

    I know if I had my blog on blogger I may get comments from other people on that site browsing and stuff like that. Although If I had my own site I could customise it how I want and it would all be my responsibility. But with both I can submit articles and digg articles and what not. So your oppinions please ?

    #2...better to be on your own domain, with a unique IP than to be with the masses on blogspot.

    I think maybe you can have a mix, a few on blogger but most on your own domains...Are you planning to use Wordpress? Its the defacto blog tool now.
