7 is now the best, especially for stability. Go with the 64 bit if you have more than 3GB of ram. With the pro version you can use XP for free and solve possible compatibility problems
I started running the Windows 2000 Professional then I switched to XP, and lately straight to windows 7. Vista was a failure. Windows 7 seems the best for now, pretty good optimization and resource usage. I like it.
hello i will tell you that If you have old or extremely basic hardware, for instance, then XP will have a definite advantage: its relatively lightweight core means the operating system can theoretically run with only 64MB of RAM if you have high-end requirements, such as using a powerful PC to run heavy-duty applications, Vista and Windows 7 statics is like this XP: 3.5 / 5 Vista: 3 / 5 Windows 7: 4.5 / 5
I will tell you that XP is best than other OS but is depends how you are useing your computer like useing for small work or for high requirement so basically xp we canuse for office work and for home and if one is having a huge requirments of graphics then can go for vista and windows 7 and also her you can have high graphics
Windows 7 is the best operating system Microsoft has released to date. It runs smooth and is more secure than XP.
I have win7 on my laptop. I hate it. It keeps losing the interrupt for the left mouse button, and it is useless without that. When I type, letters are lost because the system cannot keep up with me. If I use the caps lock as normal, I find I type four letters that "disappear". I dislike the way that many of the menu key shortcuts are different from XP. And I dislike being unable to organize my own file structures without using a fake path option. Win 7 is clunky. It is clunky because Micro$ht are still writing systems using methods developed in the 90s. They take advantage of the user being used to waiting for processes to complete - back in the 80s it took a few seconds to "do this", it still takes a few seconds to "do this" - the power of the machine is increased, the code gets slower.
I used to love XP, I tried vista, but it was far too slow in comparison and lacked the stability. However when I got my laptop not long ago, it had windows 7 pre installed, and I have to say, windows 7 is immense in comparison.
When you are working as a professional with your computer then I think Windows XP is the best. other wise you can choose anyone of them OS when you are a home user.
