which website worths the most? A. A blog with 1k hits a day B. A blog + forum with 1k hits a day C. A forum with 1k hits a day
I would say option B, but it would depend on what you're using the site for and how you monetize. With blog and forum you can create new content for blog/forum and more opportunity to advertise on both. Forums also can attract a lot of visitors that will spill over to read your blog content. Hope that helps a little but just my opinion.
It is up to your strategy and target. What would like to get by these websites? If you would like to build a list.Totally the first one.If you would like to send to targeted traffic by search engines (by thousands of long tail keywords) you should try the second one.If you would like to create a small community and discussion some strategies and tactics for further projects you should try to the third one.
Whichever is monetized the best wins this. For most buyers out there, they don't really care what "potential" the website has, they care more that the traffic is CURRENTLY converting. If it's not, then it's generally not worth much. It's kind of like saying "I own a restaurant on a busy street, but no one visits my restaurant... does this mean my restaurant is worth 50 million?" The restaurant is probably worth something for the real estate, but a crappier part of town or in a small suburb where there isn't much traffic and the business is doing 300% more in sales is worth considerably more. The traffic isn't as important as the sales are.
Option B, though I would prefer to work with Option C because it is more fun and I prefer forums, and they have a lot more potential
Whichever brings in the most cash... That said, in my view forums typically result in more engagement from the visitors. I don't know of anyone who's made over 500 comments on 1 blog, but tons of people have that and more on many forums. More engagement leads to more time spent on the site, and therefore more opportunity for ads/optins/etc Cheers.
I prefer forums aswell. especially if you have an active community. Because if you have an active community that means that you ALREADY have users that are willing to COMEBACK to your site more than once, probably several times, rather than a blog that gets 1k hits but they visit and then they leave and never come back. just my .02cents
I'd go for B. Actually, what i've seen, compared to a blog, forums tend to earn more. Because people usually stay on forums longer than they do on the blogs. As a result, there is more chance that your ads will be clicked. Also, forums tend to have a lot of recurring users, and a lot of SEO variations. So in the long run, forums are a better choice. But your option B contains both, so I'd say, go for it
I believe forum can made more money than a blog . While forum is much more easier to interact with your visitors and maintain them to keep coming back to your forum . 1k fans in forum may more unique than a blog visitors.
I would go for option C. If you try to analyze, blog+forum will usually form a synergy. That is, the total hits must be greater than the sum of the individdual hits. For a forum, a thousand hits is already a good statistics. If you would add a blog to that, you will surely see far reaching results.
i think it's option A... blog is harder to be famous... because you just make content yourself... but forum content made by a lot of member...
