I am looking to buy .ie (ireland) domain though I don't live in Ireland. (Don't know that matters). Unfortunately, godaddy and dynadot don't sell it. Could someone recommend me a similar website where I can purchase it? Preferably with 'private protection/id guard' even if I have to pay a $2.00 extra. Many thanks clickalot
Thanks webbusiness23 but they haven't got .ie. They do have .in, it & io but I need one for Ireland. Any others?
Thanks Sandy. Geez, it costs like 70 Euro for just one year ryanhami - Thanks for the suggestion but I don't like Enom. CS is crap in my experience. falguni1, Of course .com is No.1 but I want to rank high in google.ie and I think this is the way.
Hi I am Irish so can help you out here register365.com sell .ie's 24€ for a year blackknight.ie 19.95€ for a year However you can not just buy a .ie there are restrictions to it Basically you need it for an actual purpose Eg a business name (registered in ireland) here is a linkto the official Irish register website with full list of rules. I also recommend the website irishwebmasterforums.com Which is for irish webmasters Any question please pm me
I live in Ireland so I have an idea about irish registrars. The best is Letshost.ie .ie is 17.99. Register365.com dont even think about it. I used them at the begging when suddenly my domains control panel collapsed and i couldnt even access it to change my DNS. I called and chatted with support and they had no idea whats wrong ,I had to submit a ticket to the support to change the DNS for every single domain! At the end it took like a month or so until I found my panel Fixed!Dreadful If you are registering the domain for business you will have to submit papers like company registrations etc or they will drop the domain. If its personal then i think its ok but you still have show your relationship to the domain. Too much hassle just stick to .co.uk
here is a guide to .ie restrictions Restrictions Companies worldwide are allowed to register .IE Domains. However in order to register, applicants must provide certain supporting information: 1. Copies of one or more invoices showing a trade connection with Ireland will be sufficient to show a connection to Ireland. 3. If the applicant based outside of Ireland and the UK: A Company Certificate or Trademark Certificate and Information showing that the company\'s has a trade Connection with Ireland must be submitted to the IE Domain Registry. Copies of one or more invoices showing a trade connection with Ireland will be sufficient to show a connection to Ireland. There is no limitation on quantities of domains that can be registered, but if the name selection is not linked to a trademark or a company name, the choice must be convincingly explained to the Registry in the form of a detailed letter. Explicit / immoral domains and domains that reflect Irish geographical place names are not authorized and will be rejected by the registry. The IE Domain Registry policies apply to every registration and all applicants must provide the necessary supporting information or documentation within 30 days of your order in order for your application to be accepted.
