i suggest you stay away high paying keywords. there are much competition on these keywords. all you need to do is picking up a keyword that pays minimum $0,70.

 

Focus on keywords and original content... The more traffic you have = the higher your revenue

That's the best way to explain it. Coming from fact on my side, I have very little success with Wordpress or Joomla! sites. Rather, I make a bit more adsense money when I create a simple HTML site that people often visit. I'd recommend using this approach. While there's nothing wrong with Joomla and Wordpress, you are going to need a strong backlink architecture and also clever use of keywords.

 

try a classified directory, i see identical websites that earn 3-4 figures in adsense

 

content is king, so any website with your own writing is also good !
