Godaddy are the wrost. For domain hosting they suck, for web hosting, they are a failure. My first experience was with a client which I advised to use Godaddy (I assumed it was a good company, being big and whatnot), it was also the last. The control panel, sucks. You need to create a database, you need to wait 10 minutes, come on, this is hilarious. I wanted to upload his 100 MB MySQL database... No way, I am not able to upload via PHPMyAdmin, there is no SSH and when trying with BigDumb it would fail due to php.ini php_max_upload size restrictions. I ended up closing the account and using a different service instead. Also the control panel for the domains sucks big time, no real-time updates and not easy for average user to use. Peace,
The best by far: Imountain why? 1) No affiliate program so honest reviews. am fed up of people saying this hosting provider is great coz they can just sell you any crap to make themselves some money off the affiliate program. 2) Great bunch of guys. The support is top-notch. They installed everything for me right from WP to Drupal. even did the drupal plugin installations. 3) Great when it comes to letting you know about server downtimes in advance. I guess only 2 times my server was down once about 20 mins and next time about 3 mins this is in last 6 months. By far industry's best web hosting service. Go take a look at Webhostingtalk and find me one negative review on imountain. I bet $20 on that lol
I am using Netfirms web hosting. Hosting is good given that your traffic is blow 1000 user daily. On high traffic sites Netfirms is terrible.
I too recommend hostgator. I also use lunarpages for 11 sites, microsoft live for 1 site, and ix web hosting for 1 site. I don't recommend live or ix but lunarpages is great. I have not had any issues with their service and their support has always been able to help me in a timely matter. The only problems I have had have been my fault and they have fixed them for me.
hostgator here too.....Really only the second host I have ever used, so not a lot to compare them to. Their support is pretty quick to respond. I have had a couple minor issues with them though, but they were able to work through them (htaccess and ioncube). It took longer than I thought it should for them to resolve the issues, but they did go to quite a bit of effort to resolve those issues for me.
Hi, I have a paid host, but recently I visited and interested the free hosting with 250MB webspace, mysql and php support at: createweb.0lx.net/ You should be attracted by them.
