.Net is the best web development language, because it has rich set of drag and drop tools which consumes lot of time.

From my point of view I prefer HTML. HTML is very popular web design language. It's very simple and everybody can understand. You can make simple websites with the help of PHP. :)

HTML and CSS is the one which i prefer. They both if done in good and proper manner helps a lot in speeding up the site and make search engine friendly web pages. The software which i prefer to work on for these languages is Dreamweaver

To make a static page you can use HTML. If you want the page to do anything you need program code (HTML is content, not code) - either client-side (Javascript) or server-side (PHP, ASP, Cold Fusion, etc.). Or both.

First of all, besides bad grammar, or ignoring your grammatical mistakes, if you don't have CSS mastered, you'll never be called a "designer".

Full flash or full javascript sites are hogwash. A true web designer knows CSS like the back of his hand. And, he should be able to deliver nearly everything that javascript can do, with just CSS. Even if you have dynamic sites, you still need CSS. So yes, it is

    THE BEST.

you can make a website with simple HTML using Notepad or dreamweaver is what pro's use, i would recomend using dreamweaver switching to Code/script mode learn HTML/PHP and PEARL and gradually build your site. you will also need to learn SQL which is were you will be inputing your Forms, tables and Databases which is preety easy once you know how to master other sources. practice makes perfect :)

HTML and CSS are not programming languages at all (which has been pointed out many times). Web development and web design are totally different things. The fact that they both affect the web page doesn't make them even similar. (HTML and CSS are design, not development.)
