If you had a two word domain such as "freegames.com" but there was more searches for "games free" rather than "free games" would it be better to register the "gamesfree.com" instead? The first one sounds better to me but i keep seeing instances of where there are more searches with the words the other way round from what would seem to read better Suggestions and thoughts please
I thinks first one is better....generally mostly people search with free games....if you think people are seaching with gamesfree...you can use this in your description and meta description...you can have in title freegamesfreefun..so it will be in both search...
The domain in question i have both of anyway. I was just deciding which one to use to launch with, the one way round which makes more sense to read gets 12,000 exact searches per month, with the other way round (sounding weird) it gets exact searches of 49,500! So i was thinking of going with the weird way round, i.e. gamesfree.com
you can register freegames but build backlinks using both keywords. just the domain alone will not get you ranked for such competitive terms, its the backlinks that will get you ranked. since your domain will still have the words Free and Games no matter which one you register, the rest will depend on your backlinks. you will get same SEO value form both domains but the first one is more brandable
I understand its more brandable however what i dont get is that with some sites that i own, if the words are searched for the wrong way round, i.e. say i own freegames.com but theres 5x the amount of searches for "games free" Well randomly with one or two sites i dont seem to rank at all if the words are searched for the wrong way round and wondered if this was mabye something to consider in the future.
There is nothing in the domain name. Its a myth that, if you use keyword in domain name it will boost SE ranking.
Domain name plays a huge role in ranking, but SEO doesn't revolve around it! There are still other factor. And for those keywords, I recommend to link build on both keyphrases.
This doesnt make sense. Its not a myth otherwise there wouldnt such sites that get alot of traffic because of their domains
