Should the whole website keep the consistent keyword in title / meta description / meta keyword? Or should each page use different title / meta description / meta description? Thank you seoinfosys.com
the description may remain same... but the keywords tag need to change from page to page depending on the content of the particular page.. because some search engines may penalize you if they find the keyword missing from the content.
You can keep your keywords in the title/meta-keywords if they are present on the page, but I would recommend you to change the rest of the title and meta-keywords (and the description, although I don't know how important that is).
Different pages in a site are expected to have different contents so it's expected that each must be optimized for different keywords. You must have a unique title for each page...
I always try to optimise each page for 2/3 different keyword phrases. This way you then deep link to the internal pages using similar (but varied) anchor text. I think this method looks a lot more natural.
And at the same time we try to avoid having each of these pages compete against each other if we use the same set of keywords allthroughout.
Meta description and meta keyword should definitely be different from page to page, in alignment with the main keywords for each page. Ideally, the page titles should follow the same strategy. The only exception to this would be if you're trying to brand your website's name, in which case you may want to use it as the title of all of your pages. HTH, Sam
