    I used IRCs back when I still only had a Win 3.1 box, so I guess that would be considered my first, after that it was ICQ, now just gTalk.

    My first online messanger is Yahoo messanger. Yahoo will be able to talk, make phone call and they can leave you off line message that you will get when logged in.

    The First IM i used is yahoo messenger and I am using it for about 9 years and I am satisfied with it. I can't see any reason to switch to any IM out there.

    For me too.....the first one to have used was MSN, but then Yahoo has become the permanent one since a very long time.
