Website has 2 versions of slideshow galleries for images and here are the links they make. Which one would be better for ranking for Google Images? Is one better than the other or they are both the same?
I don't know html, but I am a bit concerned about 2 links for the first version of 1 image and it seems there's only 1 alt tag between those two and I am not sure personally which one would google think it belongs to. Blank.gif link is added to every image in the gallery

Both are the same. SEO credit you get here: 1. URL, 2. Alt tag.

You will be missing an SEO opportunity if that is your URL scructure, as that path is long and isn't as good for SEO as if you set a shorter custom upload folder with keywords such as:
test.com/Buffalo-New-York-Wedding/ OR, at least: test.com/wedding-photos/ then your 'wedding-in-buffalo-ny.jpg' file is uploaded into it and you probably double your odds for ranking for that phrase.

If you want to increase the ranking odds even more, then you have the img hyperlinked with a title tag: <a href="weddings-in-buffalo-new-york.html" title="Wedding in Buffalo New York"><img src...

Thanks! Do you know of an easy quick way to change the default WordPress upload directory?
